About Maurice Design

Maurice Design is a full-service, graphic design, web development and advertising company based in Hampton Roads, Virginia. In addition to web design, the company also provides its clients with reliable website hosting, search engine optimization packages, online media marketing and customer content management.

Carol Maurice

Creative Director/Designer

After graduating in 1981 from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a degree in visual communications, Carol worked as a graphic designer and art director for several advertising agencies in the Hampton Roads area before starting Maurice Design. Over the years, she has developed solid relationships with creative and production resources including copywriters, photographers, illustrators and vendors.

Carol served for two years as a board member for The Society of Communicating Arts (now AIGA) and has volunteered her design services for various fundraising committees in the Hampton Roads area including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Virginia Beach City Schools and the ASA Junior Olympic Softball Organization.

When not asking Dale to "move the logo 4 pixels to the left please", she enjoys hitting the gym, playing with her dog, baking her favorite whole wheat chocolate chip cookies (recipe will be included in the blog) and trying to convince her husband to write a cookbook.

Dale Maurice

Technical Director

Dale provides web hosting services and complete top-to-bottom website development. He attended Old Dominion University for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and has countless certifications and capabilities in the Computer Sciences field.

Dale brings many years of experience in systems engineering, programming, analysis and technical assistance in design, planning, installation, administration and training involving an assortment of hardware and software configurations. He has in-depth experience in management of Internet and Local Area Networks (LANs), UNIX and Linux based servers, and associated server software. He is expert in programming web applications and experienced at managing web servers averaging millions of hits per day. He has worked as Principle Software Engineer delivering a broad array of information technology and technical services solutions to U.S. federal government customers, focusing primarily on critical national defense programs for the intelligence community, and Department of Defense.

When not glued to the computer, Dale can be found playing with cars or working on some household project. He enjoys boating, fishing, hitting the gym and cooking.

Kayla Maurice

Office Mascot

In addition to fetching the daily newspaper and mail, Kayla spends most of the work day sleeping or looking longingly out the window. She is thrilled to have company, so stop by and visit us. She'll be happy to engage you in a game of "chase me since I have the ball".
